Ilandevan — a Tamil-medium boy from Ramanathapuram — is now a student at one of India's best business schools. He has one goal: meet Nayana Kapoor, India's highest-paid heroine.
He has one strange gift: the power to step inside any photograph — seeing and hearing what the people in it were really thinking.
Chasing his idol, he befriends Sunaina — once a Dance India title winner, now an escort. He gets caught in a drug case tied to Nayana Kapoor. The day he's released, a friend is murdered.
Who killed? Why? Will the jolly, go-lucky gang find their friend's killer? What's the poetic revenge waiting at the end?
Ila can step into any photograph and revisit the scene as if he's standing inside it — hearing what people were really thinking, not just what they said.
It isn't magic. It's his mind doing hyper pattern-recognition and psychoanalysis — his subconscious replaying what people's behaviour already told him, frozen into a single, navigable frame.
